Sixteen of Guayabero Tribe InjuredTopics: • accidents •
The Guayaberose established their reserve after fleeing their traditional territory because of the violence of Colombia's drug wars. Today a Guayabero boy found a mine left on the reserve by soldiers from Colombia's Special Forces School. Unfortunately the mine exploded and killed sixteen members of the Tribe. This is not the first incident on the reserve.

Fog Caused AccidentTopics: • accidents •
The military helicopter accident has been blamed on heavy fog. The Twin bell 212 helicopter went down and claimed the lives of three military officials. The group was inspecting Peru's Camisea gas pipeline when the helicopter crashed. Four other passengers survived and are receiving medical attention.
