Hugo Chavez wants to create a South American OPEC called "Opegas Sur". Chavez's Opegas Sur would start with Venezuela, Bolivia and Argentina, and then expand from there. Many see the idea as ludicrous since none of the three export natural gas outside of South America.

Vietnam is currently importing more from China than it is exporting, although the export market is quite lucrative. Truong Dinh Tuyen, Vietnam’s Minister of Trade, repeatedly urges increasing exports with China so that the trade gap will be reduced.
