On Tuesday Dell Inc. opened its first business center that is outside the United States, which will provide 24-hour support to its branches. The support will mostly be internal to Dell offices in countries around the world. In addition it will include local sales and marketing as well as process design facilities and software development. According to Dell the new center will employ 600 people by the end of the year and 1000 within five years. Malaysia has a skilled workforce, firm infrastructure, an environment conducive to business, and the government is committed to the information technology industry. All these things made Malaysia an ideal candidate over other countries such as India and China.
